Call for Nominations: Remarkable Mentor in Oncology Award

ECOG-ACRIN is accepting nominations for the 2026 Remarkable Mentor in Oncology Award. The award recognizes an ECOG-ACRIN member who has shown sustained commitment to developing the careers of early- and mid-career investigators in cancer medicine and within the Group. The award is one of ECOG-ACRIN’s highest distinctions. Members of the ECOG-ACRIN Executive CommitteePrincipal Investigator Committee, and Task Force on Career Advancement are eligible to submit nominations. Save the Date for the Spring 2026 Group Meeting

Save the date for the ECOG-ACRIN Spring 2026 Group Meeting, taking place Tuesday, May 5–Thursday, May 7 in Baltimore (note the schedule shift away from Wednesday–Friday). Visit the meeting website to view the preliminary schedule and other important information. Registration will open in early March.

Important note: All sessions will be conducted in-person only.

ECOG-ACRIN members unable to attend in person may register for access to the open/general committee session recordings (to be posted after the meeting concludes). Registration is required to access these recordings—please select the ‘On Demand Recordings - Members Only’ registration type.

Group Meeting Travel Funding Opportunities

ECOG-ACRIN offers a limited number of travel awards and scholarships to support research professionals in attending the meeting in person. Listed below by deadline are the opportunities available for Spring 2026.

Radiation Oncologist Travel Awards
The Radiation Oncology Committee encourages radiation oncologists to attend the meeting in person and actively participate in the development of radiation oncology-driven clinical trials and secondary analyses from completed studies. Learn more and apply by Friday, March 20, 2026, at 11:59 pm (Eastern Time).

Advanced Practice Provider Travel Awards
The Advanced Practice Provider Committee is accepting applications from advanced practice providers (APPs) to attend the meeting in person. APPs (e.g., nurse practitioners, and physician assistants) with no other form of travel support are eligible. Learn more and apply by Friday, March 20, 2026, at 11:59 PM (Eastern Time).

Clinical Research Associate Travel Awards
The Clinical Research Associates Committee is accepting applications for four travel awards. Data managers, clinical research associates, or clinical research coordinators/nurses with no other form of travel support are eligible. Learn more and apply by Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 11:59 PM (Eastern Time).

Edith Peterson Mitchell, MD Health Equity Travel Scholarships
Named after the late Edith P. Mitchell, MD, MACP, FCCP, FRCP (London), these travel scholarships are open to trainees, including students, residents, fellows, and early-career investigators, who self-identify with populations historically excluded from medicine and science. Early-career researchers who have a primary focus on health equity may also apply. Learn more and apply by Monday, March 30 at 11:59 PM (Eastern Time).
